Due to the generous contributions to our Emergency Campaign, the IUA-UCF was able to purchase an armoured ambulance for Israel at a cost of $150 000. The funds for the ambulance were presented by the IUA-UCF leadership to Magen David Adom, Israel’s only emergency medical service, at a special ceremony on 18 June 2002. This took place as part of the recent Keren Hayesod Solidarity Conference in Israel. As MDA staff are often in life-threatening situations as they enter hostile areas, an armoured ambulance is their only protection. Thanks to the community’s generosity, we can continue to save lives.
