Thursday 29th May 2003 Yad hosted it phenomenal Annual Corporate Golf Day. Charming Host Graeme Joffe once again performed the role of Witty MC. His flight to Cape Town courtesy of Comair. The finest cuisine imaginable had been procured and prepared with love by our own Domestic Goddess, Merle Rubin. The Management and Staff of the King David Golf Club staff attended to our every need.

Aromatic Nescafe brewing provided a warming welcome. The sponsors arrived bearing banners and signs and even additional prizes. We were awed by the generosity of spirit of these supporters, many of whom ensured that goodie bags held lots of lovely gifts. Smiling friends from many different Companies both big Corporations and small and individuals were united by their love of Golf (and of course a day away from their desks).

12.15 The shotgun start began with the record 32 fourballs at their assigned starting points. Some sponsors welcomed participants with a drink at their branded holes, others offer great products, special deals and of courseencouragement to our sporting players to do their best and have as much fun as possible. The lunch stop was populated by a constant flow of teams who paused to refuel,whilst raffle tickets were sold to them.

Hitting the showers post game, a drink welcomed the weary but exhilarated returning Gladiators and what a sight greeted them when finally, freshly lathered and laundered they presented themselves for the Prize giving Dinner. A lavish Banquet of delicious delights, an array of fabulous Prizes and drinks on the house. The Camaraderie was palatable, lots of back slapping, affectionate hugs and hand shakes, jokes abounded

The top few teams were awarded prizes (and also the worst!) the raffle winners received their terrific prizes. We ate schmoozed and relaxed. Everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously and asked that they be invited back again next year.
