YAD (Young Adult Division)
What is YAD
Are you between the ages of 25 and 45?
Are you passionate about helping to better the lives of those in need and strengthening the Jewish community?
Do you want to attend great social and corporate events where you can network professionally?
Well then YAD Gauteng is for you!
The YAD Division of the IUA - UCF is aimed at creating awareness among Jewish adults for the need to support Israel and our local community.
The youth are the next pillars of our community and vital to our continuity here in South Africa. The funds raised by the IUA - UCF are channeled to Keren Haysod enabling it to participate in saving and securing Jewish lives, aliyah and nation building in Israel. They also go towards funding the South African Zionist Federation (SAZF) and the Israel Centre and in respect of the UCF, funding three South African organisations concerned with the security of South Africa, namely the CSO (Community Security Organisation) the South African Jewish Board of Deputies and the South African Union of Jewish Students.
The YAD Division of the IUA - UCF uses events like the Comedy Night, Golf Day and many other events as initiatives, which are aimed at invigorating and attracting a wider and younger donor base.
Such events bring together some of the organisation's most generus and forward thinking young contributors and serve as a dynamic platform for networking and engaging with the future of the Jewish community.
